I decided I needed a more detailed shot of feral Spyn, with her wings and such. I've been playing around with the idea of giving her seasonal coat colorings, instead of just random colors depending on my mood. I just need to narrow down at least three different phases, but its proving to be a bit difficult. If anyone has color scheme suggestions, feel free!

I figured it had been long enough since I've uploaded something, so heres my most recent inking. I was reading a werewolf book and it cause a lil' bit of inspiration. This is how I pictured the characters in it, although physical descriptions weren't terribly detailed. I tried a new way of placing ears thats more "human" to me so that it doesn't look like just a wolf with long legs and a mane. O.o Or does it? Iam not sure when this will be colored considering my new apartment needs painted and the prep work is insane on it. X_x Any color suggestions?

~Book Meh~ by Jillness

Almost a year ago, one of my best friends gave me this book she got at the campus supply store for school. They were so cheap that she decided to get me one and herself one. It just took me forever to do anything in mine. At any rate, I got some new pens so I could start inking my work again. *heavy sigh* And this makes me very happy. So, I drew up a quick sketch two nights ago and then inked and colored it today. ^^ I may have gone a bit crazy with the gel pens (my friend has a set of 100 from costco!) You can totally see where the cover binding is and the center of the page. X_x I didn't want to go in photoshop and "erase" it. But jah, this is the opening of the book. Quite possibly the most badass opening I've ever had in a drawing book for myself. ^^

I am a bit convinced that she turned out kinda looking like an eggplant. O.o But still. Iam making an effort. Now all I gots to do is make some facial marking references and *le gasp* HANDS, cause I cheated and hid them behind her back. X_x

More pictures for the composing of my fursonas reference sheet. I decided the best way to show that Spyn has a green tongue was to do a snarly face (since I haven't done one of those for her yet!) and then I decided to throw in a couple face marking refs, one of her feral form and one of the anthro. BETCHA CAN'T TELL THE DIFFERENCE...... LAWLZ

I started this as a sketch challenge and decided it would be fun to ink. 8 months later and its now finished in that aspect. Now I am working on the coloring (digitally). If anyone has any tips for scales and/or fur I'd greatly appreciate it.

Twisted Carousel by Jillness

For the past two or three years I've always drawn my fursona as a vampire and finally took the liberty to try something else this year. Thus, the Carousel Spyn was born into being and posted as the mascot for Jill's 2006 Halloween art submission. I think maybe that Spyn is a bit stockier than usual in this picture... or something isn't balanced, but hell, who decided to stick a pole through a horse anyway?!

I created this creature while I was in treatment to represent the addiction in me. I can't say much more than that it represents the frustration my choices created in my life and the agony of knowing that the choice of using again will always be there. I am thinking about incorporating this with my "recovery" critter in a tattoo design I may get eventually. hmmmm

Earth and Water by Jillness

I created this as a commissioned tattoo design for a friend of mine who wanted me to combine the elements of water and earth into a dragon. I tried not to get to much of the air element in there, but wings made it more uniform and my friend wanted the wings to wrap around her lower back. Lots of fun with ink!

This is one of my prouder works that I spent hours detailing. I feel that adding color would take away from the time I spent on the linework... but if anyone has suggestions for ways to not kill the detail in coloring, I am up for the challenge.
